Current and unexpired. Every person signing needs their own — no exceptions on this one.

The Complete Document

All pages, nothing left blank. Incomplete documents cannot be notarized.

Don't Sign It Yet

The notary has to witness the signature. Signing at home usually means starting over.

What documents can you notarize?
Affidavits, jurats, oaths of affirmation, bills of sale, custody and guardianship agreements, wills, trusts, court documents and more. If you are not sure whether yours qualifies, call (956) 377-2061 and describe it before you drive out.
What do I need to bring?
A valid, current photo ID and the complete document. Every person who has to sign needs to be present with their own ID. If the document names witnesses, bring them too.
Should I sign the document before I arrive?
No. Do not sign it beforehand. The whole point of notarization is that the notary witnesses the signature, so the signing happens in front of us. A document signed in advance usually has to be redone.
Can you tell me which document I need or help me fill it out?
No — that would be legal advice, and a notary cannot give it. Our role is to verify identity and witness the signing. Bring the completed document and we will notarize it. For which form applies to your situation, speak with an attorney.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk into 200 W Expressway 83, Suite D any time Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Most notarizations are done while you wait. Call ahead if you want to be certain a notary is free when you arrive.
What does notarization cost?
Call (956) 377-2061 or ask when you come in and we will tell you before we start. It depends on the document and how many signatures need witnessing.
Do you notarize for people outside San Juan?
Yes. People come to the Expressway 83 office from Alamo, McAllen, Edinburg and Mission. Notarization has to happen in person, so this is one service that cannot be handled over the phone.
